Welcome To My Tumblemind Utopia
Welcome readers to my new series, My Tumblemind Utopia. In this series of Tumblemind blog posts, I present views and ideas on topics of the world as I see them. All my life I’ve asked myself the question, “How could this be better?” In these posts, I’ll ask and answer this question about a variety of topics ranging from gun control to health care to media, and more. I will always present potential solutions to these issues in a way that to me, seems to be a very common-sense approach to the question at hand.
I will never claim to be a deep thinker or a philosopher – just someone who enjoys observing the world around me. It is from the cumulation of life’s observations that I will create stories related to the topic at hand. Sometimes the stories will reflect real-life events I have experienced or observed directly and sometimes the story will be a fictional, possibly utopian view of what I imagine of a reality-based utopian world.
In my writings, I will touch on many sensitive topics. However, I will always strive to couch the stories and writings in ways that don’t impune people, parties, or businesses. However, I will call out any person or business if, in my opinion, that person or company has persistently and consistently exhibited an evidence-based pattern of behavior that I believe has negatively impacted humanity or the state of our nation. I will back my writings in these cases with evidence.
Because these writings may prove controversial, I expect to receive blowback. That’s the risk I take writing about tough-to-swallow topics. I will allow comments to be submitted in the blogs but I will moderate them as I will discard comments that don’t contribute to the dialog. Comments must present cogent, well-thought-out ideas to support your position without falsehoods, fallacies, or personal attacks.
Unless life events interfere, I plan to present one My Tumblemind Utopia topic per week. Welcome to the world of my tumbled mind!
